LEARN GIVE GROW is responsible for Goodground Fieldbook, an Android application. This Privacy Policy applies only to Goodground Fieldbook version 1.0.0 and explains the app's local, offline behavior. It does not govern unrelated websites, organizations, device services, app stores, or any activity a user arranges outside the app. Effective date: July 31, 2026.
Goodground Fieldbook is a general-audience educational field guide for community learners, families, educators, facilitators, and volunteers. Youth may view age-appropriate material with a parent, legal guardian, educator, or other authorized adult. The app does not create direct adult-to-youth communication, match participants, verify guardians, or replace a host organization's supervision and safeguarding procedures.
The app provides 33 illustrated Learn, Give, and Grow field cards; a choice-based Service Plot; a Community Canvas; giving-safety guidance; reflection prompts; a source shelf; accessibility controls; an About page; and this Privacy Policy. These resources are educational examples, not announcements of current LEARN GIVE GROW programs, offers, eligibility, funding, or measured outcomes.
Goodground Fieldbook does not collect or transmit personal data. It does not request a name, email address, telephone number, postal address, precise or approximate location, device identifier, advertising identifier, contacts, photographs, audio, video, files, payment details, demographics, or account credentials. The app has no network permission and does not send usage, diagnostics, selections, or content to LEARN GIVE GROW or any third party.
The app may store three optional display preferences on the device: larger text, high contrast, and reduced motion. Navigation position, selected field card, filters, Service Plot choices, and reflection selections are held only in active application memory and are not designed as a personal record. Display preferences are used only to render the interface and are never transmitted.
Goodground Fieldbook does not provide free-text notes, participant profiles, attendance, messaging, incident logs, medical or disability records, school records, financial records, background checks, immigration information, or youth portfolios. Users should not use screenshots, device annotations, or external tools to attach private stories or sensitive information to app activities. Safeguarding or urgent concerns should go to a trusted authorized adult or appropriate local service, not into the app.
The released app requests no Android runtime permissions and does not request Internet access. It does not access location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, nearby devices, notifications, storage, photos, health data, sensors, phone state, SMS, or call functions. Operating systems and app stores may process technical information independently under their own terms when the app is downloaded, installed, updated, or backed up outside this app.
The app has no registration, login, user account, password, cloud profile, membership, or authentication service. Therefore there is no app account for LEARN GIVE GROW to access or delete. Removing local app state is described in Section 13.
Goodground Fieldbook contains no advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, attribution, telemetry, crash-reporting service, social SDK, remote configuration, or third-party data-collection SDK. It does not sell ad space, build profiles, perform cross-app tracking, or use selections for personalization. The Android and Jetpack libraries packaged with the app render local interface components and do not give this offline app a data transmission channel.
Because the app does not collect personal data, LEARN GIVE GROW does not sell, rent, share, or disclose personal data from the app. No personal data is provided from the app to advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, community hosts, schools, donors, volunteers, or other users. Activities arranged independently of the app are governed by the practices of the people and organizations involved.
Source citations are displayed as plain reference addresses for transparency. Goodground Fieldbook does not open them, download content, embed web pages, send email, submit contact forms, export records, upload files, or initiate network requests. A user who independently types a cited address into a browser leaves the app and is subject to that site's privacy and security practices. A citation does not imply endorsement or control.
LEARN GIVE GROW has no app-collected personal data to retain. The three optional display preferences remain locally on the device until the user changes them, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app. In-memory choices normally end when the app process is closed or restarted. The app does not maintain server logs, cloud backups, user histories, or retention profiles.
Users can reset all display preferences from Settings, clear Goodground Fieldbook storage in Android system settings, or uninstall the app. The manifest disables application backup, and the included backup and data-extraction rules exclude local preferences from cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Device manufacturers or app stores may provide separate system-level services outside LEARN GIVE GROW's control.
Privacy is supported by data minimization, offline operation, no Internet permission, no account system, no free-text storage, no advertising or analytics SDK, disabled app backup, and release signing. No device or software is absolutely secure. Users should use device access controls, install updates from a trusted store, avoid modified packages, and protect any screenshots or external notes they create outside the app.
The app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children and provides no channel through which a child can submit information. Youth participation in real-world learning or service should be optional, age-appropriate, and supervised by a parent, guardian, educator, or authorized program adult. Do not publish youth names, faces, locations, schedules, school details, private stories, or contact information through activities inspired by the app. Follow the host's consent, two-adult, transport, emergency, and safeguarding rules.
Goodground Fieldbook provides general educational safety reminders. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor, or prevent any condition and is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, food-safety, accessibility, emergency, or professional advice. A qualified adult and activity host should assess weather, transport, food handling, tools, site access, participant needs, and local requirements. Stop an activity when conditions are unsafe. Contact local emergency services for imminent danger or urgent assistance.
If the app's behavior changes, this policy and effective date should be updated before the changed version is distributed. Users can choose whether to use the app, whether to enable any display preference, and whether to participate in any real-world activity. Continued use of a later version is subject to the policy presented with that version. Material changes should also appear on the public support site used for the app's store listing.
